Mary McCoy, PE presented Heat Injury and Illness Prevention in Outdoor and Indoor Work Settings to discuss the proposed rule at the Hudson River Valley Chapter ASSP PDC on October 25th. Mary’s safety experience includes fall protection, confined space, control of hazardous energy, machine guarding; administration of hearing, respiratory protection and medical surveillance programs; spill response; PPE selection; hazardous chemical management; and job hazard analysis. Industries in which she’s worked include organic chemical, energetic materials, and vanadium production and aerospace parts manufacturing.
The comment period on the proposed rule is open until December 30, 2024.
