Recreational Facility Planning
Multi-Use Trails, Parks & Recreation Facilities
Recreational facility planning takes many forms. It may simply be the design of a new soccer field or pool, or it may be a comprehensive review of a community’s existing facilities, which results in a Master Plan. Master planning for recreational use typically includes: assessments of indoor and outdoor facilities, health and fitness programs and facilities, open space acquisition plans, community wide trail systems, biking for recreation and transportation, recreational use of waterways, roles of the YMCA and other private sector providers, and potential partnerships with school districts. Often times, C.T. Male Associates also provides an analysis of traditional and non-traditional means of financing and recreational facility planning.
C.T. Male Associates’ Land Services Division can then design the desired recreation facilities which may include pools and splash pads, trails, pavilion areas, ball fields, playgrounds and amphitheaters.
