Architectural Services

C.T. Male Associates is seeking a motivated, high performing, skilled individual with 5 years minimum experience to join our Architectural Team. The Project Architect will be responsible for project creation and production from initial concept through construction documents, bidding and construction administration. Must have strong design skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills with a desire to lead a project team. As a Project Architect you will be tasked with initiating and coordinating all aspects of project development with in-house staff and consultants. The Project Architect will work under the supervision of a Managing or Senior Architect.
Qualifications:
- 5 years minimum post-graduate design and construction administration experience.
- B.Arch or M.Arch, NAAB-accredited program.
- Registered architect in New York State preferred. Unlicensed candidates will be considered if on an active professional licensing track so long as all other qualifications are met.
- Proficiency in relevant software and office systems including Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, office filing standards, as well as CSI format specifications.
- Proficiency in cloud-based file sharing and management systems including Speclink Cloud and Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360).
- Understanding and knowledge of other file sharing systems such as Microsoft OneDrive, Procore, and Onehub.
- Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and collaboratively as an integrated team member.
- Demonstrate skills necessary to interact with senior staff, junior staff, and clients in a supportive, constructive, professional manner.
- Demonstrate an ability to research and teach in the context of design, production, and software implementation.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of project finances including fee budgets and construction cost estimates.
- Must have a working knowledge of building codes and their application as it relates to new, existing, and renovation projects.
Pay Range: $75,000 – $90,000 per year, paid weekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Male Associates, a multi-discipline engineering consulting firm in the Northeast, is seeking to fill an entry level Civil Engineer in the Civil Engineering and Land Services Division at our Latham, NY office. This full-time position offers unlimited potential for advancement and skills development. In this position, you will perform civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering and land development design tasks such as investigation and design of dams, a variety of water/wastewater distribution and treatment systems, site design and engineering, stormwater analysis and engineering, among other typical industry tasks. As a Geotechnical Services Team Leader at C.T. - Supervise, coordinate and review the work of geotechnical staff within the Civil Engineering Division.
- Assist the Civil Engineering Division Manager in the hiring and evaluation of staff.
- Mentor junior geotechnical staff, helping to develop their leadership and client engagement skills
- Provide explanations of technical and constructability issues.
- Perform quality reviews of reports and required communications with clients, authorities having jurisdiction and/or contractors.
- Conduct site visits to review site conditions exposed by construction, construction means and methods, job site safety issues of C.T. Male personnel, and conformance of work with design intent and project specifications.
- Develop business opportunities in the areas of dam engineering/consulting services and technical support of contactor submittals for earth support systems, mini pile foundations and other specialty geotechnical contracting services by marketing geotechnical and dam engineering services to new and existing public and private sector clients.
- Keep abreast of continuing education programs and software that would benefit the geotechnical services offered by the firm and those programs and software that should be attended/purchased and a schedule for same.
Requirements:
- A minimum of twenty (20) years relevant experience with geotechnical engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S., PE minimum) from a four-year college or university and preferably a Masters’ Degree with a concentration in Geotechnical Engineering.

Qualifications:
