Solid Waste Engineering Services in Albany, Latham, Saratoga

C.T. Male Associates’ solid waste engineering services date back to the early 1990’s when many of New York State’s landfills were being closed. These services included conducting a subsurface/hydrogeologic investigation and closure investigation; design of landfill closure in accordance with 6 NYCRR Part 360 regulations; preparation of plans, specifications, bidding and contract documents; and construction administration services including submittal review, payment application review, and inspection services during the closure construction work. At the conclusion of closure activities, a Landfill Closure Construction Certification Report is prepared and submitted to NYSDEC. Our staff have also worked on the design of several landfill expansion projects.

Landfill Monitoring Services

C.T. Male Associates still works with numerous landfill owners providing post-closure monitoring services. These services include water quality monitoring (i.e., sampling and analysis) of surface water and groundwater; explosive gas monitoring (when required); landfill inspections; preparation of landfill reports (quarterly and annually) for submission to NYSDEC; and preparation of requests for reduction in frequency of landfill monitoring.
