Professional Well Siting And Development
The Professional Geologists at C.T. Male Associates provide well siting and development for new water supplies related to private and municipal applications. These hydrogeologic and engineering services may include the exploration, evaluation, design, installation, testing and permitting (as necessary) of a water supply system.
Initial evaluations may involve site reconnaissance, consideration of existing aquifers, geophysical studies, installation of borings and groundwater monitoring wells to evaluate subsurface conditions and water quality, and test pumping wells to define the aquifer hydrogeologic characteristics including aquifer yield, zone of pumping influence and viability as a long term water source.
The final phase of our well siting and development work involves design of the well(s), development of plans, specifications and bidding documents for the installation, testing and permitting of the permanent water wells. An Engineer’s Report is prepared along with a Water Supply Application for approval to operate the new well.
