Landfill Solar Project
C.T. Male was retained by our client to assist with the engineering, land planning and survey requirements associated with the installation of a solar array on a 25 acre area of the closed Clifton Park Landfill.
The first phase of the work included performance of a site feasibility study and SEQRA related services. This work included a site visit, review of wetlands and threatened and endangered species and preparation of a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment of the project site. C.T. Male also completed boundary, topographic and ALTA surveys, and a subdivision map was created for the lease area.
C.T. Male has provided stormwater services in support of the project, demonstrating that the threshold of 1-acre of ground disturbance has not been exceeded by the proposed design. We have performed settlement and geomembrane integrity analyses, made general construction and design recommendations, designed an innovative access drive on top of the closed landfill, prepared a subdivision map and also have designed the equipment pad. C.T. Male also prepared permit plans and specifications for submission to NYSDEC. Construction of this project is complete. C.T. Male is providing stormwater inspection services.
