LED Street Light Upgrades – A Win-Win for Municipalities on Cost & Energy Savings

Street and roadway lighting make up a significant amount of a municipalities’ annual utility budget. C.T. Male Associates’ Energy Services Division has developed a program to assist our clients in reducing these costs,while improving the overall quality of lighting. Working with municipalities, C.T. Male performs a street lighting study, in which a financial analysis on the economic benefits of upgrading municipal streetlights to state of the art LED lighting technology. LED features proven cost savings in addition to nighttime environment enhancement, yet few municipalities have pursued the opportunity to upgrade. We believe that many decision-makers may be unaware of these LED benefits or do not understand how to take advantage of these cost savings opportunities.

Male Associates can help. Our Energy professionals can perform a financial analysis of your current street lighting system, evaluating the energy and cost savings from upgrading to LED. Our team can also determine the additional savings associated with change of rate tariff schedule. Once the savings are identified, C.T. Male Associates can then coordinate with vendors and the utilities to determine the cost of upgrades, and the potential incentives that may be available through energy savings.
