C.T. Male Associates Associates Supports Toys for Tots and the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York During the Holiday Season

For over 10 years C.T. Male Associates has supported the Toys for Tots program and was once again a drop site for the program. With the help of our employees, families, and friends we helped to fill the box for needy children. Last year the Toys for Tots program distributed a new unwrapped toy for over 100,000 children in and around the Capital Region.

C.T. Male Associates also supported the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York again this holiday season by participating in the 30th Annual Holiday Hunger Appeal. This event was held at Crossgates Mall where the Food Bank has a display table set up for patrons of the mall to make donations until Christmas Eve. On Tuesday, December 9th, 2014, C.T. Male Associates served as a Matching Day Sponsor for the event.

The Regional Food Bank serves an alarming number of hungry individuals

The Regional Food Bank provides emergency food assistance to approximately 244,400 different people in our community each year – including 85,000 children and 13,000 seniors.

In a given week, approximately 38,600 people receive emergency food assistance from the 1,000+ member agencies in the Regional Food Bank’s 23-county service area.

The Regional Food Bank remains a critical partner in the fight against hunger

Food pantries, soup kitchens, and emergency shelters receive more than half of their food (65%) from the Regional Food Bank.

Almost all emergency feeding programs (94%) said elimination of support from the Regional Food Bank would have a devastating or significant impact on their operations.
