C.T. Male Associates, a multidiscipline firm offering comprehensive engineering services, is expanding its Environmental Division and has environmental engineer opportunities in our Latham, NY or Poughkeepsie, NY offices. You will work on a variety of rewarding projects in our region with an experienced team. There is opportunity for management responsibilities for projects and staff as well as ownership in our firm which has a well-established internal ownership transition program in place.
Types of Projects
You will work as part of an established industrial/institutional environmental regulatory compliance team and support the strategic direction, client interactions, and technical deliverables associated with projects. Help us improve the environment, one site at a time, by scoping, implementing, observing, and reporting on sites that require remediation to bring it into compliance, prepare it for development, or simply improve its subsurface conditions.
Our clients include multinational chemical manufacturers, state and local governments, colleges and universities and other institutional organizations. Typical projects include Clean Air Act permitting, air dispersion modeling, hazardous waste auditing/permitting, petroleum and chemical related permitting/inspection/spill plans and SPDES permitting. Remediation related projects may include multi-media site investigation, spill response coordination/documentation, vapor intrusion investigation/design, and small to large scale cleanup projects under various State programs.
Environmental Engineer I: $56,000 – $63,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental or chemical engineering from an accredited university.
- 1 – 2 years relevant post-graduate experience preferred, with related internships a bonus.
- OSHA 40 Hour training is preferred.
- OSHA 10 Hour Construction training is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Senior Environmental Engineer: $95,000 – $115,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental or chemical engineering from an accredited university.
- 12+ years’ experience in providing environmental and health & safety regulatory compliance and design services for institutional, industrial, and governmental entities.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in New York.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in at least one of the following: Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, CERCLA/solid and hazardous waste.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
