Environmental Geologist / Hydrogeologist
As an Environmental Geologist/Hydrogeologist, you will perform field and office work necessary to complete environmental site assessments, geologic and hydrogeologic investigations, site remediation, field sampling, environmental permits, and other environmental projects. You will be responsible for coordinating and implementing field operations, relaying conceptual interpretations, and assisting in environmental compliance plans and permits.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
- Five to ten (5-10) years relevant environmental experience, including environmental field work.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and annual OSHA 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher Training.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Holds NYS Fundamentals of Geology (F.G.) license and on path to obtain NYS Registered Professional Geologist (P.G.) license.
- Experience with Surfer®, Win-Situ software, AQTESOLV software and/or other groundwater plotting or modeling packages, ArcGIS, Collector, and EQuIS data management.
Pay Range: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour, paid weekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
