State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQR) Update – EAF Mapper Now Available
State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQR) Update–NYSDEC has developed a new web-based mapping tool for answering some of the location-specific questions contained in the new short and full Environmental Assessment Forms (EAFs). This new tool is a web-based GIS program available on NYSDEC’s website on their EAF Forms page http://www.dec.ny.gov/permits/6191.html. Now with a few key strokes, the NYSDEC leaf mapper provides important information pertaining to streams, wetlands, archeological site sensitivity, aquifers, and threatened and endangered species can be readily obtained for either an individual tax map parcel or a defined project area involving one or more tax map parcels.
