Upcoming Update to NYSDEC Multi-Sector General Permit for Stormwater Discharges Associated With Industrial Activity GP-0-17-004

NYSDEC is in the process of issuing an updated SPDES Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) for Stormwater Discharges Associated with Industrial Activity (GP-0-17-004), which is expected to be effective as of October 1, 2017.  The permit is available online at http://www.dec.ny.gov/chemical/41392.html, and is in the process of being finalized.  This permit will replace MSGP GP-0-12-001.

Facilities are eligible to continue coverage under the new permit for 120 days.  To remain in the program you will need to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) within 90 days of October 1, 2017.  Prior to submitting the NOI, facilities are required to prepare and implement a revised Stormwater Pollution Prevention (SWPP) Plan complying with the new MSGP.  C.T.
